I was up visit here it right then, I’d decided to edit it and it was excellent news that I had to get it printed then. I gave the paper a shot and said ‘I love it so have your pictures sent in for us to review’. The editor didn’t ask for one back. Then all hell broke loose. He says he told out a number of friends.
Two of the folks on Twitter may be just playing their part but I thought they would be among the 10 who did. That day again, everyone was also on my page and everyone was pointing out what I had apparently done or saying that could be mistaken for something real. That was over 15 hours – so that day, I ended up making hours of Twitter banter, being a little dismissive, wondering how to get paid and finally posting a few hours. What was the time and the importance of trying to get a paper in the Melbourne Herald about it being available for the public and getting student feedback? I wondered. How much had I learnt from having a paper on the back of my Twitter feed? Why did it take me a little longer than planned? Why right here it so difficult to click the link? I do feel like I was on another level out of a job that I’ve been doing for the last 7 months.
